Yea cool… lets just take things completely out of context… because 8 little paragraphs are really the best way to understand a book with 3/4 of a million words that has been translated. Yep this is really a clever and completely honest way to represent a position.
This would be just as bad as me putting up signs that say “Islam encourages pregnant women to blow themselves up” - no… it doesn’t.
Or how about I point out that Stalin was an Atheist, and therefore because of his atheism ordered the killings of millions of innocent people including children? Once again, no… his sociopathy was completely unrelated to his Atheism.
Posting passages on huge billboards with no historical or literary context and clearly no understanding of their place within the greater narrative of the bible is childish and ignorant at best, and purposefully deceitful, narcissistic and vindictive at worst.
I’m not saying that Christianity is perfect… it is made up of VERY imperfect people, many of whom misrepresent or misunderstand the teachings in the bible…
But this… this is purely for spite.
